This past November, Planet Word Museum of Language celebrated the addition of 25 new interactive books into its Schwarzman Family Library with a dinner as well as a an all-day community event. Enchanted Pages Community Day featured pop-up appearances by authors and noted word lovers, performances, and book-inspired activities for all ages.
Titles included classics such as “Corduroy” by Don Freeman, “Emma” by Jane Austen, “The Joy Luck Club” by Amy Tan and “The Lorax” by Dr. Seuss.
The illustration I created features a series of pages wafting atop of an illuminated book. The illustration was used in a darker scheme for the dinner and a more playful tone for the community day.
My work builds upon the existing and beautiful design and brand guidelines developed by Eighty2degrees Design Studio.
