Almost 159,000 people in Washington, D.C., and suburban Maryland received help last year from Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese of Washington DC. The number of people in need returned to a pre-pandemic level after four years of increased need and an extraordinary response by Catholic Charities. In 2023- 2024, Catholic Charities continued its legacy of compassionate care through 47 programs in 29 locations.
I have mentioned in previous posts this being my favorite project of the year. For my seventh (!) time collaborating with their communications team, I was faced with an interesting challenge: The new CEO wanted us to produce the same report as last year all over again.
With their very capable communications team, we were able to highlight the aforementioned areas of work using stats, personal stories and images of the community they serve while creating a spin on what was done previously.

“We sought, in all we did, to refine our vision for the future: remaining sustainable, relevant, collaborative and, most importantly, positioned to assist our most vulnerable neighbors who have lost hope and need help.”
